About this deal

The first two books are mediocre, 2 stars for Shatter Me and 3 for Unravel Me. Ignite me is by far the best of the triology, 4 stars. Destroy Me gets 3.5 and Fracture Me gets a measly 1.5 stars because Adam is just so BORING. I found Kenji to be much more genuine than that. Indeed, he was the one who was absolutely committed to rescuing Juliette. As a matter of fact, he even placed the blame on himself. He’s the one who points out to Adam that he should be anxious, but Adam declines because he wants to enjoy the moment of calm they’ve found and not jeopardise James’ safety for no good reason. Present your case for why Adam should win Juliette’s heart. Simply said, I can’t imagine how he can save face in light of this information. Never mind what he did in the first two volumes. I've never been a fan of lyrical'esc writing, that with endless strains of metaphors and descriptions about a leaf or some trivial tidbit that takes up multiple paragraphs. However, I roll over with a groan and stretch, rubbing both eyes with the heel of my hand. It’s too early for this shit.

I sigh again as I get to my feet, mussing his hair on my way up. James makes a strangled sound and jerks away. “What’s the problem?” I ask. I pull up my pants leg to attach a semiautomatic to the holster underneath. “I’ve been a soldier for a long time now. You’ve always known the risks. What’s different all of a sudden?” Kenji is still in the medical wing. No one knows for sure what happened yet, but people have been talking. Whispering.

I could go on for days... weeks... no years about this book. I would go so into detail and fine tooth comb and break down every chapter if I could, but I wont because I would never want to tarnish, or give out any details to someone who hasn't had the chance to read this masterpiece, because that's what this series is. It's the Mona Lisa of ya novels. A slight mysterious smile that you can't turn away from. It makes you want to scream out loud and kiss Tahereh's forehead and thank her for writing something so on point. so on point. On the battlefield, it seems like the odds are in their favor—but taking down Warner, Adam’s newly discovered half brother, won’t be that easy. The Reestablishment can’t tolerate a rebellion, and they’ll do anything to crush the resistance . . . including killing everyone Adam has ever cared about. Buuuuuuuut Adam and Juliette? It's like if Feyre stayed with Tamlin instead of going to Velaris with Rhys in ACOMAF and through ACOWAR. Like, imagine that. It's a sinking ship. I still love this novella with all of my heart and soul. It’s heartbreaking and emotional. I hate seeing what Warner has gone through and what he still goes through with his father. It’s fascinating being inside of his head and seeing a human side to him after the first book. Warner is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends and I will always love this short story. He’s such a tortured soul and I cannot get enough of him and I think this was wonderfully done and is an important part to not only Warner’s character but the series overall.

Fracture Me - Tahereh Mafi

I am baffled by the fact that people find their relationship romantic. I am deeply saddened by the fact that "broken" characters somehow are given the okay to horrifically damage their partners in the name of love. As if the fact that they love this person makes it okay that they hurt them in these ways. I get Juliette instant attraction to Adam, first person to be able to touch her her whole life? Shes gonna feel something. That something however is not love, if anything its lust and the first taste of friendship she’s ever had all mushed up. And that’s being generous to Mr Dull Potato Adam. The only redeeming quality to Adam is his love for is brother James. I do love it when YA shows some good sibling relationships. LMAO. A boring novella about a boring bowl of oatmeal. Yawn. Doesn’t add anything of importance. Just solidifies my hatred for Adam. At that, I freeze, and James can feel it. He goes quiet in my arms, and I let him go. He untangles himself from my sheets, and we stare at each other. No, no, e ancora no. Dopo la bassezza del primo volume, non è che mi aspettassi i miracoli, ma speravo comunque in un qualche miglioramento, e invece il nulla più completo. I peggio cliché e le peggio idiozie del genere YA sono tutte messe in bella mostra in questa serie; fortunatamente, è talmente trash che si legge in fretta, se non altro perché la Mafi non manca mai di farti fare quattro risate visto il livello supremo di idiozia di tutta questa vicenda.Mafi's writing is beyond refreshing and unique. It's something so hard to describe or even put into words, and I know that my review wont do it true justice. Okay, so this one surprised me the most out of this entire re-read of the series. I remember thinking that this last book was decent and I had enjoyed it enough but there was something about it this time around that I really liked. There’s a lot of character development in this and with the exception of one person (Adam, because of course it’s him) it’s very well done. It’s about Juliette tapping into her inner strength and finally becoming the person she should’ve been from the jump. Warner’s character development was honestly my favorite of the two of them because he has a lot more emotional growth and moments where we really get to see his character stripped down to it’s most basic level and it was wonderful. The two of them together bring out the best in each other without trying to change compromise who that person is as an individual and I appreciated. They grew on their own but together if that makes any sense and it makes their relationship feel very solid. This was a pretty good ending to the series but I can definitely see how Mafi left it open in the end to write more. Still half asleep, I grab James by the collar and yank him down, shoving his head under the blanket. He shouts and I laugh, wrapping him up in the sheets until he can’t get out. I went into the Shatter Me series very skeptical. I'd heard the strikeouts were annoying and that the writing style was strange and confusing. Well, I absolutely couldn't disagree more! With the Shatter Me series, Mafi cemented herself as an A-list writer on my score sheet. Non succede nulla o quasi. 3 libri e 2 novelle, e forse (e sottolineiamo "forse") l'unico volume in cui avvengono avvenimenti che portano avanti la trama è il secondo, poi per il resto il nulla. Il triangolo amoroso porta via il 90% della storia e il word-building è di fatto inesistente. Mi aspettavo un po' di azione nel libro finale, ma la Mafi liquida tutta la faccenda negli ultimissimi capitoli, con un anticlimax da paura (il cattivone muore in due secondi, grazie ad un piano che fa acqua da tutte le parti messo in piedi da una banda di ragazzetti che dovrebbero essere la versione poraccia degli Avengers...seriously?);

Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi - Goodreads

Adam has my approval for a reason, I believe. They’ve been together for longer than he was with Juliette, and he loves his brother very much. It’s only natural that he’d prioritise the well-being of his one and only family unit. Despite this, his feelings for Juliette were no less genuine. That’s the real rub: how deeply did he first love her? Tahereh Mafi is a best-selling YA Fantasy author best known for the Shatter Me series. However, she’s also written other books like This Woven Kingdom and A Very Large Expanse of Sea. The latter was named one of the best YA books of all time by Time Magazine.

But—what?” I screw up my face, confused. “Does that mean he’s feeling better? Did someone tell you he was feeling better?”
