About this deal

Ed feels a hidden shadow behind Ryan’s eyes and this makes him suspicious and it goes on and Ed had to pay a lot for his intuition including his job. T.M. Logan's best yet. Fully delivers on its killer premise. Unsettling and so, so entertaining. The perfect thriller' Caz Frear

NOW A MAJOR TV DRAMA on Channel 5, starring Jason Watkins, Aneurin Barnard, Poppy Gilbert and Cathy Belton. The setting was a stroke of genius, it most probably helped that I know the Peak District (Castleton holds happy memories) so I felt that I was walking alongside them at times. What is a father to do when he senses something is off about Ryan, his daughter’s fiancée? Everyone loves him, and thinks he's the perfect catch. But Ed knows better. His intuition tells him Ryan is dangerous. Should he act on it? It’s refreshing to see a male protagonist who is not believed or taken seriously when warning others about the danger they face – which often mirrors our own real-life experiences – even if it does add an extra layer of tension and disbelief as readers are forced to question whether or not Ed is right in his assumptions about Ryan or if he’s going mad with paranoia. This part is usually filled by a ‘neurotic woman’ who is convinced she is correct. Here we see it filled by a man who thinks he is losing his mind instead! But when a rich, handsome younger man enters daughter, Abbie’s, life and threatens to take her away from him, Ed finds his life spiralling out of control. Secrets and lies are exposed with every twist and turn but will Ed discover the truth about his daughter’s new boyfriend before it’s too late?”

If you’ve yet to read T.M. Logan’s The Catch book then you might well be a little surprised by the changes that have reportedly been made to the Collier family and their home in the gripping Channel 5 show. In the Channel 5 drama which starts on January 25, as per RadioTimes.com, the setting is now the coast of the South West of England where Ed is a fisherman. To be fair, I‘m probably not the right person to ask since my husband and I once hired a PI to look into our daughter’s boyfriend, ha! As it turned out we were correct to follow our intuition. So, I’m on team ‘Follow Your Instincts’.) Thank you to Bonnier UK Audio, Zaffre and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. The author did an excellent job in keeping me on my toes, and uncertain if Ed was losing his grasp on reality or if Ryan was indeed not quite the catch everyone thought he was. This was an addictive read that I raced through.

This had the same high intensity, and left me wanting to know what happens next and if anything I thought it was slightly better than The holidayClever and compelling, T.M. Logan has written another belter of a novel. Totally addictive from start to finish The Catch is very highly recommended and it is another must-read from this brilliant author.

My favourite part was Claire hitting Ryan with a large metal Thermos. That was so laughably bad and ridiculous it was hilarious. Moral of the story? Don't go anywhere without a Thermos. The book takes you on Ed’s journey to find this out and how his own life takes a steep downward turn as he tries to prove what he feels The production was by Projector Pictures, in association with Night Train Media and All3Media International. Rachel Gesua, Suzi McIntosh and Trevor Eve were executive producers on behalf of Projector Pictures, and Herbert Kloiber was executive producer for Night Train Media. [3] Broadcast [ edit ]I honestly could not rate this any higher. Tim you have worked your magic again, I can't wait to read what's next!
