About this deal

A successful campaign for Tizer from 2001 saw the brand package four bottles of the drink in blue lunchboxes. Tizer is a unique and iconic British soft drink containing a mix of citrus and red fruits with a zingy, refreshing bite.

One 1982 television advertisement for the drink featured dwarf actor David Rappaport wearing star-shaped sunglasses at a disco, the advert finishing with the slogan "You can tell it's Tizer when your eyes are shut". The drink is also mentioned in the lyrics of the 1996 song "Sing Something Simple" by the neo-prog band Grace. The image and product information have been prepared for illustration and information purposes only and may differ from that shown. For the slogans "Refresh Your Head" and "Freeze Your Head", the "R" in "Your", and the "E" and "D" in "Head", are highlighted so they spell out the word "Red". However, food products in particular are constantly being improved so their ingredients and the other information we publish here, including details of their nutritional content and allergy advice, is liable to change. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you always read the actual product label carefully before using or consuming any product. As part of a rebranding process in 2003, the cans were changed to red and Ed the Head's expression was changed to a smile. In 1996, Tizer was rebranded, and the cans and bottles were redesigned to feature a new logo and a mascot, known as "Tizer Head" and later "Ed the Head".

Our rangers might not be wearing flares any more, but today our teams still collect around 40 tonnes of rubbish and litter from across our own sites and car parks alone each year, at a cost that could cover an extra ranger to take care of the National Park. A campaign in the early 1990s featured a character filmed in black and white against a bubbly red backdrop, who would say something like "stuff the donkey sanctuary, stuff donkeys'.

We recommend that you always check the packaging for allergen advice and talk to your doctor if you need any further food allergy advice. In 1997, Tizer took over the sponsorship of The Chart Show which was a Saturday morning music chart show on the ITV network in the UK. At the end, word fragments appeared, such as "appe", "adver", "depu", "bap", "legitima", "dogma" and "chaz", all words which could be completed with "tizer" as a suffix. Unlike many other soft drinks on the market, Tizer doesn’t contain any artificial sweeteners or preservatives, so you can enjoy it without worrying about what you’re putting into your body.

Ed appeared as a red-coloured human head, the top of which was opened so that Tizer could be poured in. Tom Marshall, from the Peak District National Park's communications team said: "Whilst our social media pages have since been filled with comments of fond memories of this particular soft drink, it's sad to realise the can had already been sat in the Peak District landscape long before our ranger, Anna - who discovered it - was even born.
