About this deal

Observation is comparably nice and sharp, given its size, with the bigger lens helping us when tracking subjects and trying to keep them in view. oz and is fantastic for those needing an ultra-lightweight option for glassing, or for the person just wanting a good piece of glass to stash in their rig for those urgent glassing needs. The forums are dedicated to wild birds, birding, binoculars and equipment and all that goes with it. The case lid can be closed with a buckle at the front and include two generous belt clips at the back that are big enough to attach to a pack. There are a couple of well-designed features of the Bushnell Legend Monocular that most will probably not notice, but which add a lot of comfort to the grip.

The Legend 10x42 Ultra HD Monocular features our top of the line ED Prime glass, Bak-4 prisms, fully multi-coated lenses with our Ultra Wide Band coating and Rainguard HD to deliver a truly premium viewing experience. Not everyone will feel this addition is crucial, clearly, and it does add to the width of the device too. On a shorter rifle it may look a little overbearing, but for what I receive in enhanced magnification that is the least of my concerns. Bushnell also offers this scope with the traditional Duplex reticle, but you will pay a higher premium for going this route. This time around the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x42 monocular adds a slightly futuristic look and accessories like an onboard belt grip for hands-free transportation; its no-nonsense ruggedness resembles something Sigourney Weaver would wield in the Alien movies or Arnie in the Terminator series.

This patented, permanent, water-repellent coating causes moisture from rain, snow, sleet and condensation to bead up and scatter less light, so you get a clear, bright view when other optics would be rendered useless. Unusually, on one side of the monocular Bushnell has included a belt clip, so, in theory, the product can be up and into our hands, light-saber fashion, as quickly as we need. The case is a hard-sided, molded case with zippers around three sides and a fabric hinge on the bottom.

This monocular is packed with features like a Picatinny rail and 1/4-20 adapter for use with accessories and stabilizers. The combination of professional grade optics, rugged design and advanced reticle options provide optimum performance in every tactical shooting application. The dioptre adjustment locks well and conveniently through a pop-out mechanism on the eyepiece, meaning that once you've set them, they'll stay put. It also includes a cord lanyard, which I honestly found to be useless with no clear way of attaching it to the device.

In it a padded carryingstrap and harness if you so prefer and a piece of cloth for cleaning the lenses. Though the sweet spot of the Ultra's image is smaller than I would like the performance within that sweetspot is exemplary in terms of the areas I just mentioned.

With a carry case, land yard, lens cloth, and lifetime guarantee included, it feels like Bushnell is doing as much as it can to provide peace of mind as necessary and protect our investment. still fogged over, but definitely cleared more quickly than the binocular without Rainguard HD coating.

The Legend Ultra HD AFoV is just so frigging HUGE it seems to be a small percentage area despite the being ~85% it is really above average. I wasn’t expecting for Bushnell to handle the situation the way they did, and was fully prepared to foot the bill for the repair.with those long, long legs, she spread her wings for a brief moment to help maintain her position on the branch. Fortunately, we didn’t notice areas of purple fringing between high-contrast subjects – where the dark branches of a tree meet the sky for example, and the general performance is very good indeed. Whether or not this optical situation is acceptable or not depends entirely on you and your priorities. It’s bolted in place, so there’s no option to remove the clip if it doesn’t work for us, or we feel its presence is unnecessary, but it’s a minor gripe. Good thing: performance against the light (strong backlighting, direct sun on objectives) seems excellent, far superior to most cheap roofs that I've tried in the past.
