The Gower Peninsular in South Wales is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with world class beaches. Showcasing the best and little-known parts of Gower, The Gower Way is a mid-distance footpath that the Society mapped out to mark the Millennium. The growth and popularity of paddleboarding have been significant and we have put together some guides to help you make the most of this exhilarating sport.Given its location on a sweeping bay and a proud Victorian industrial heritage, Swansea is a disappointment with little for tourists apart from large hotels, bus and train station, and Wind Street (mega bars). No beach (mud, and the tide goes out too far), but you can swim off the promenade in deep water at high tide. Please also note that we are legally required to declare the correct value of your purchase which is used to calculate the tax and any tariff duty.
It opened up unknown parts of Gower using existing footpaths and permissive rights of way and some road sections to form a continuous pathway between the upland areas of Welsh Gower and the coasts of English Gower. Some attribute Swansea's moniker as the "Graveyard of Ambition" to the fact that Gower provides an exceptional environment for living and raising a family. The Gower Way, inaugurated by the Prince of Wales in July 1998, traverses the length of the ancient lordship of Gower, surrounded by 5,000 years of history, from Bronze Age dolmens and Iron Age forts, medieval platform sites, to holy wells, Norman castles and churches.Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places.
The Gower Heritage Centre is a good place to learn about rural culture, while the Gower Festival brings high-calibre classical performers to a dozen ancient local churches each July. The 2 dead end roads to it, from Llangennith and Llanmadoc (much quieter) are both single track leading to the caravan parks and their pay car park. Worms Head stands as a cherished national symbol, and Rhossili Bay is renowned as one of the most breathtaking beaches in Britain, if not the entire world. Moreover, Gower boasts an abundance of picturesque beaches that offer visitors an unforgettable experience. The uplands are littered with Neolithic remains, most notably the burial chamber topped by the 25-ton Arthur's Stone.
