About this deal

While Ryan struggles with bonding with his teammates and Zoey is given the opportunity to get back on her feet, a very sweet slow-burn romance blossoms between the two. Odette Stone is clearly an author that knows how to improve her work and I can say with confidence that she’s slowly becoming one of my favorite authors!

But once Ryan's mom shows up, it gave that perspective to the story and allowed Ryan to be able to take a step back and evaluate the situation, the relationship and what would be best for zoey, the person with the keast powerr at the time. Oddly, it was followed by a 'bonus' chapter or second epilogue, which I just plain disliked, because it was almost like reading porn. A chance encounter at a random café causes Vancouver hockey player, Ryan Parker, and current homeless twenty-year old, Zoey to meet. I really was disappointed after listening to the audio book “Home Game: Vancouver Wolves Hockey and the story between Zoe and Ryan. They lived in Oklahoma before moving to San Antonio, Texas, and then moved throughout North Texas, all before Bailey was six years old. I don't usually go for sports romance but my dear friend Sanzida recommended this book to me and said I would like it, so I tried it. After a while, both of them start to have feelings for each other but Ryan tries to do his best not to break her trust. Little did he know, as they lost track of time, he was costing her the chance of a safe, warm bed for the night.

That’s not a bad thing, it was just very different from the first book and I was expecting more over the top craziness. Ryan had no idea why it was important for him to help Zoey just that is way and as they became friends they learned more about one another and attraction began to form. Mica and Charlie’s road to bliss isn’t an easy one; there’s a male neighbor who has taken a liking to Charlie and doesn’t mind getting on Mica’s bad side, some strange things keep happening to them both, and Mica has a crazy one time puck bunny who just refuses to believe he doesn’t want more from her. This is the second in a series of standalones and while the beginning was a bit slow and lacked chemistry, the rest of the book picks up and eventually comes to a satisfying ending. Yes, she uses her style as a kind of defense mechanism to make herself seem less appealing to assault and harrasment but even that I found problematic because when you couple that with the fact that more than once it's stated that Blonde = pretty, feminine and soft with Tiny = feminine and soft. I appreciated that Ryan was written as a person who was aware of the power he had in their relationship as friends and eventually romantic partners and Odette made a point not to exploit that just for the sake of steamy sex scenes.

To be honest, it would have been one thing if she wanted to add a lot of plot points but to add so many and then resolve them so poorly is the real crime. albeit good intentioned, he accidentally puts his foot in his mouth causing a separations between them. He’s surprised when his agent’s assistant Charlie agrees to the one year platonic marriage, but she has her own reasons for doing it.

The constant struggle between Ryan wanting to purchase things for Zoey and Zoey feeling like she owed him, coupled with the humiliation of being homeless, was so realistic. She attended the theatre program at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas, [4] where she participated in productions of the plays Suburbia, Through a Glass Onion, and Don't Rock the Jukebox. A fake marriage story filled with a whole lot of crazy scenarios but with characters I absolutely adored, The Penalty Box was another entertaining story in this series.Thank you for the time you have spent with us on the platform and for giving us the opportunity to bring a little bit of joy into your life. I felt like the F word was used too much therefore degrading the love that was forming between them. It was well written with a good plot, and after the initial slow bits the pacing moved quickly without sacrificing character growth. Also, I am sleep deprived and not on my adhd meds today, so my post is a bit all over the place in terms of coherent thoughts and writing structure. While I did think things worked out a bit too easily for Zoey and their big miscommunication (one of my least favorite things in romance) could have been avoided I applaud the author for having Zoey learn that she was capable of standing on her own two feet.
