About this deal

The NECA Last Ronin figures on the other hand are bonafide masterpieces. Full and accurate encapsulation of the art from the books, fully functional accessories, and logical proportions. The topless figure beautifully captures the wear and sadness of the character. The figures are essentially flawless. The only “flaw” I can force myself to see, is that the topless figure still has the bottom parts of the tunic. The flaps are obviously part of the tunic, not karuta haidate, so they really shouldn’t be there. Outside of that, FLAWLESS. We won’t spoil the identity of the titular Last Ronin here. That reveal is a major part of the first issue of the series, and we assume the game will make a big deal out of revealing which of the four characters survives this hellish future. But if you want to know, we’ve got a full breakdown of the first issue of The Last Ronin. He embodies the essence of the darker, grittier storyline, starkly contrasting the jovial, pizza-loving turtles we once knew. The Ultimate Raphael figure includes swappable head pieces and several hands along with Raph's arsenal of weaponry including an arrow and a throwing knife. The Ultimate Karai figure also has a throwing knife, interchangeable heads and hands and a sword with a sheath. Both figures come with an illustration by Ben Bishop, the artist of The Last Ronin comic.

The turtles, once unified and vibrant, are replaced with a solitary figure grappling with the weight of loss. Splinter’s diary has nice detail, and I especially like the leathery texture on the cover, but to fit it in the hand, I had to really heat and stretch the hand open. The Sai and Nunchaku and tonfa are the same between the two figures and they have great detail and when there is metallic paint it has a great shine to it and some lovely detail enhancing washes. I did feel like I needed to heat up the hands a bit to get some of the weapons in there. The pointing hand from the unarmored version can also hold the sai in a cool way. It’s easy to see where the God of War influence may come into play. Kratos tends to wield multiple weapon types in those games, with the tone of combat changing dramatically depending on whether Kratos is wielding his trademark Blades of Chaos, his Leviathan war ax or one of the other mystical weapons in his arsenal. The Last Ronin could follow that formula and allow players to switch between these four weapons on the fly.In summary, “The Last Ronin” is a riveting, beautifully rendered addition to the TMNT franchise, perfect for those craving depth and drama from their comic adventures. The belt is the same across both figures, so the unarmored Ronin can store a bunch of the weapons in the belt. The open hands on both figures add a nice variety. The flat open hands especially make me want to make some bandanas for the unarmored figure to hold.

The sword is different between the two figures because it gets damaged as part of the story. It’s also got fantastic metallic paints and a nice wash on the handle. Nor is the Ronin entirely alone in his quest. April O’Neil is still alive in this future timeline, and she’s joined by her daughter Casey Marie (named after her late father, Casey Jones). Casey is a budding ninja herself (having read Master Splinter’s books for guidance). While there’s no indication whether she’s in the game, it’s possible Casey could become a secondary playable character in the game. In another nod to 2016’s God of War, Casey could even be the Atreus figure - a semi-playable companion character who joins the Ronin on his quest. Both figures come with a grip of stuff. Armored has a katana with sheathe, sai, nunchakus, bo, four ninja stars, a grenade, goggles, removeable hood, claw on a rope, two heads (yelling and gritted teeth), two removeable bandana parts, three sets of hands (fists, grip, and open) and a tonfa. Sideshow and Premium Collectibles Studiopresent the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin 1:4 Scale Statue. But some games, like 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, really lean into the differences between the Turtles. Each character in that game has a unique ninjutsu style and special moves, and players are able to switch between Turtles at will.

Isn’t it amazing when an old favorite gets a fresh twist? That’s precisely what’s happened with “The Last Ronin,” one of the latest entries in the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.Several types of goods are exempt from being returned; perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. Inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, this incredible statue captures the determination and resolve of the last surviving member of the TMNT, Michelangelo, in a bleak alternate future ruled by the Foot Clan. The Last Ronin Statue – Supreme Edition measures 23.5” tall as Michelangelo stalks the sewers in pursuit of his enemies, guided by the ghosts of his brothers. A highly detailed environment base puts the turtle in his native element, with grimy water flowing around rust-colored pipes deep beneath the Foot Clan-controlled city. The statue includes four weapon proximity pieces that can be placed anywhere along the base for an added storytelling element, representing the arsenals of Michelangelo’s fallen brothers as well as his own: a sai, a broken bo staff, a shattered sword, and nunchaku. Despite the darker tone, it remains true to its roots and delivers a conclusion that feels both satisfying and earned. Don’t miss out on this stellar journey – just remember to hold the pizza and grab a box of tissues instead!
